Multi-dose lubricating eye drops to relieve symptoms of mild or severe dry eye. It contains a highly purified specific fraction of hyaluronic acid sodium salt produced by bacterial fermentation and is therefore free of animal proteins. Hyaluronic acid is a naturally biocompatible polysaccharide with viscoelastic and hygroscopic properties. In the eye, hyaluronic acid is found in the vitreous body, lacrimal gland, corneal epithelium, conjunctiva and human tear fluid. Hyaluronic acid has mucoadhesive properties and the ability to trap water; it is also known to influence the distribution of water in the corneal stroma. This, together with the protective properties of hyaluronic acid, leads to an increase in the pre-corneal resistance time and the tear film breaking time and therefore guarantees a longer lasting lubrication of the corneal surface. Hyaluronic acid is currently used in contact lens products to increase the wettability and comfort of the contact lenses themselves. Xailin HA contains a retractable preservative that transforms into water and oxygen upon contact with the eye, minimizing the irritation that can be caused by traditional preservatives, while still ensuring the convenience of a multidose form. Providing an immediate feeling of relief. It is used to lubricate and protect the eye in certain conditions, offering relief from dry eye such as, pain, irritation, or foreign body sensation. Symptoms of dry eye occur as a result of ocular surface disorders caused by a number of different reasons, in which the tears are qualitatively or quantitatively altered thus failing to keep the eye sufficiently hydrated.

How to use
The usual dosage is one drop to be applied 2 to 4 times a day as needed or as directed by your eye doctor. The dosage is the same for children as well. Before opening a new vial of eye drops, check that the safety ring on the bottle cap is intact.
1. Turn the cap counterclockwise to break the seal.
2. Wash and dry your hands well before use.
3. Remove the cap.
4. Tilt your head back and look up.
5. Gently pull down the lower lid of the eye to provide a small pocket between the lid and the eye.
6. Hold the bottle between your thumb and middle finger and apply gentle pressure to the base of the bottle with your index finger to deliver a drop of the eye drops into the conjunctival fornix.
7. Blink a couple of times.
8. If the eye has not been centered, instill another drop.
9. Gently wipe off any excess eye drops around the eyelid with gauze.
10. Replace the cap on the container trying not to touch the applicator tip.
11. Allow at least 30 minutes to elapse between administrations of other ophthalmic drugs.
If the symptom persists, consult your ophthalmologist.

Precautions and Warnings
Do not use if the safety ring on the bottle cap is not intact. Do not use in case of allergy to the product. Do not touch the tip of the bottle with your eye or any other surface. Do not share Xailin HA with other people. May cause slight blurring of vision after application, wait for clear vision before driving or operating machinery. Do not use after the expiry date printed on the package or on the bottle. Keep out of the reach and sight of children. For external ophthalmic use only do not ingest. Consult your doctor, pharmacist before using the product if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
