PHARMACOTHERAPEUTIC CATEGORY
Decongestants and antiallergics.

ACTIVE PRINCIPLES
Sodium Chromoglycate; chlorphenamine maleate.

EXCIPIENTS
Eye drops, solution in 10 ml bottle. 100 ml of eye drops contain: sodium edetate; disodium phosphate; monosodium phosphate; sodium ethyl mercury thiosalicylate; purified water. Solution in single-dose containers. 100 ml of eye drops contain: sodium edetate; disodium phosphate; monosodium phosphate; water for injections.

INDICATIONS
Treatment of conjunctivitis of a toxic, allergic and spring nature, with a subacute and chronic course.

CONTRAINDICATIONS / SECONDARY EFFECT
Hypersensitivity 'to the active substances or to any of the listed excipients.

DOSAGE
1-2 drops in the conjunctival fornix four times a day. Before use make sure that the single-dose container is intact. The medicine in single-dose container should only be used immediately after opening. Any residue must not be used. Avoid that the tip of the container comes into contact with the eye or with any other surface.

STORAGE
Bottle: store at a temperature not exceeding 25 degrees C. Single dose: keep the product away from heat sources.

WARNINGS
To be used under direct medical supervision. Do not use if the solution is not clear. The drug eye drops, solution in a 10 ml bottle contains sodium ethylmercury thiosalicylate (an organomercurial compound) as a preservative and, therefore, sensitization reactions may occur.

INTERACTIONS
There are no known interactions with other drugs. However, additive effects are possible when the drug is administered concomitantly with H2 antagonists (cimetidine) and with corticosteroids.

SIDE EFFECTS
Rarely, irritation and burning phenomena have been reported. In these cases it is advisable to suspend the treatment. The reporting of suspected adverse reactions that occur after the authorization of the drug is important, as it allows continuous monitoring of the benefit / risk ratio of the drug.

PREGNANCY AND BREASTFEEDING
As with any drug, it is advisable, whenever possible, to avoid administration during the first trimester of pregnancy. If the use of this product is deemed essential in a nursing mother, the patient should discontinue breastfeeding.
