Therapeutic indications
Verolax Adult Rectal Solution is used to fight constipation.

Dosage and method of use
Verolax Adult Rectal Solution is administered in the following ways: 1 or 2 single-dose containers in 24 hours.

In case of stubborn constipation, no more than two doses can be introduced into the rectum at the same time. The correct dose is the minimum sufficient to produce an easy evacuation of soft faeces. It is advisable to initially use the minimum dosages provided. When necessary, the dose can then be increased, but without ever exceeding the maximum indicated. The product can be used at any time of the day.

Laxatives should be used as infrequently as possible and for no more than seven days. Use for longer periods of time requires a doctor's prescription after adequate evaluation of the individual case.

Contraindications

Special warnings
The continuous use of laxatives can cause addiction or damage of various kinds. Do not use laxatives if abdominal pain, nausea and vomiting are present. If constipation is persistent, consult your doctor.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding
On the basis of its chemical-physical properties, rectal glycerin can be usefully used during pregnancy or the puerperium.
