Active principles
Granules: oxerutin 1000 mg. Coated tablets: oxerutin 500 mg. Gel: 100 g of gel contain: oxerutin 2 g.
Excipients
Granulate: mannitol; sodium saccharin; citric acid monohydrate. Coated tablets: polyacrylate dispersion 30 percent; talc; magnesium stearate; macrogula; copovidone; sunset yellow (E 110); titanium dioxide. Gel for skin use: carbomers; sodium hydroxide; edetate disodium; benzalkonium chloride; purified water.
Indications
Treatment of symptoms related to venous insufficiency; states of capillary fragility.
Contraindications / side effects
Hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the listed excipients.
Dosage
Granules: 2 to 3 sachets per day, depending on the severity of the symptom. The content of each sachet of granules must be dissolved carefully in a little water and taken before or during meals, even in venous insufficiency of the haemorrhoidal plexus. Coated tablets: 2 - 3 tablets per day. The tablets should be swallowed whole with a little water, without chewing, before or during meals, even in venous insufficiency of the haemorrhoidal plexus. Gel for skin use: apply an inadequate quantity of gel both on the area affected by the disorder and on the surrounding areas, 2 times a day (morning and evening). Massage lightly to let the medicine penetrate until completely absorbed, that is, until you feel that the skin is dry in contact with your hands. Do not exceed the recommended dose. The success of the treatment depends very much on the regular administration of a sufficiently high dose for a prolonged period of treatment.

Warnings
Gel: the use, especially if prolonged, of the products to be applied on the skin can give rise to sensitization phenomena. In this case it is necessary to stop the treatment and contact your doctor to establish a suitable therapy. The film-coated tablets contain sunset yellow (E 110) which may cause allergic reactions. The gel contains benzalkonium chloride which is irritating. It can cause local skin reactions.

None known so far.
Side effects
The drug is well tolerated, as widely documented by the vast international literature. Even when the treatment was continued for several months, no noteworthy undesirable effects were never reported. Mild digestive disturbances have rarely been observed with the granules, which disappeared upon discontinuation of treatment. Only rare cases of sensitization with the appearance of skin reactions have been observed with the gel. These symptoms subside rapidly upon discontinuation of treatment.
Pregnancy and breastfeeding
The safety of the drug in pregnancy has not been established, therefore it is advisable not to administer the product during pregnancy. There are no foreclosures to the use of the preparation during lactation.
