DROPROPIZINA/SULFOGUAIACOLO
PHARMACOTHERAPEUTIC CATEGORY
It is an association of two active ingredients: dropropizine and potassium sulfoguaiacolate. Dropropizine: is a molecule with a peculiar antitussive activity; it acts at the peripheral receptors level by interrupting the irritative reflex at the point where the stimulation of the tracheobronchial mucosa intervenes. Potassium sulfoguaiacolate: has a balsamic action by being excreted in the respiratory tree and first producing a facilitated expectoration, then a decrease in bronchial secretion and cough. The rarity of collateral manifestations of both active ingredients suggests their use also in the pediatric field.
INDICATIONS
Symptomatic treatment in coughs of any nature, irritative cough and smoker's cough.
CONTRAINDICATIONS / SECONDARY EFFECT
As a purely precautionary measure, the use of the product during pregnancy and lactation is not recommended. Diabetes. In case of hypersensitivity to the components or other closely related substances from a chemical point of view.
DOSAGE
ADULTS: 1 tablespoon 2 to 4 times a day CHILDREN: 1 tablespoon 2 times a day. To be taken as it is or diluted in your favorite drink (hot or cold), preferably between meals.
INTERACTIONS
If you are using other medicines ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice.

Rarely reported nausea and other mild gastrointestinal disturbances.
