Indications
Absorbent, sterile, ready-to-use dressing indicated for the treatment of closed, clean surgical wounds, removal sites for skin grafts, lacerations, abrasions and burns, small incisions or excisions, partial or total depth wounds, wounds from little to moderately exuding, protection for intravenous catheterization sites.
Dosage and method of use
Before applying, let the previously applied disinfectant dry and make sure the skin is perfectly dry. Open the package and and remove the sterile dressing. Remove the printed paper liner, thus exposing the sticky surface. Holding the two ends of the frame, place the dressing on the application site so that the swab completely covers the wound. Adhere the dressing by applying light pressure on the transparent support. Remove the paper frame from the edges of the dressing and make the edges adhere well. To remove it, gently lift the edges and pull them outwards.
Features
The dressing consists of a polyurethane support, permeable to water vapor and impermeable to liquids and microorganisms. The central pad consists of rayon fibers coated on both sides with a thin and porous polyethylene film. It is thanks to this film that the dressing does not adhere to the wound, thus allowing for atraumatic removal. Its composition also guarantees a high absorption by osmosis of excess secretions. The transparency of the support allows for monitoring of absorption without removing the dressing. The adhesive spread on the support is based on acrylates, hypoallergenic and allows excellent adhesion. The nature of the adhesive and the composition of the central pad allow the dressing to be removed avoiding residues and trauma to the skin and wound. The frame application system allows easy application, without waste.
Sterility
The sterilization of the dressing is carried out by gamma rays as part of an industrial process validated according to the technical regulations in force. The sterility of the individual packaging is guaranteed provided that it is intact, i.e. it has not been opened or damaged.
storage
The product must be stored at room temperature between 15 ° and 30 ° C, away from extreme conditions of humidity, dust, pollutants, etc. The period of validity is three years from the date of production, provided that the product is properly stored in the original sales package. The expiration date is stamped and clearly visible on each sales package and single envelope.
