Characteristics
FERMENTS OF EM
The idea of an EM microbial mix dates back to the 1980s and is attributable to people who lived on the Japanese island of Okinawa, located between Taiwan and Japan.
Okinawa is known as the island of centenarians,” as the life expectancy of humans residing there is traditionally the highest in the world.
It is not known exactly to whom we owe their discovery: opinions on the matter are conflicting. In agriculture congresses, however, the EMs have acquired international resonance, for example thanks to the speeches held in Paris in 1995 by Professor Higa.
Professor Higa made his listeners take a leap of perspective: he explained that in a balanced microbiota the percentage of beneficial microorganisms is very small and that of pathogens is even smaller, while there in the middle the majority of microorganisms are "neutral". It is precisely these neutrals, which are quantitatively the most abundant, which have the possibility of causing the mycorbiota to be unbalanced towards a beneficial balance.
therefore a good microbiota can be created without necessarily killing the pathogens and without making an effort to increase the benefits, but by acting on the most relevant part, which are the neutrals.
The actual microorganisms are a mix of lactobacilli strains, yeasts, actinomycetes, and photosynthetic bacteria.
DANDELION LEAVES
Taraxacum officinale leaf aqueous extract efficiently blocks the interaction between cell surface receptor ACE2 and the D614 protein of SARS-CoV-2 spike, D614G, N501Y, K417N and E484K mutants in vitro.
This is an exciting new study that recently appeared on the bioRxiv "server" describing a specific inhibitor of the virus found in an extract of the leaves of the common dandelion.
KLAMATH
Klamath has obvious nutritherapeutic properties, but also the abundant presence in them of specific molecules (phycocyanins, chlorophyll, cyanophylls, specific polysaccharides, etc.) immunomodulatory, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant and haematopoietic.
A recent study highlights 8 areas in which Klamath has demonstrated a clear action on: asthma, allergies, inflammatory states, chronic fatigue syndrome, immune deficiencies, diabetes, depression, neurological problems.
In the literature it also emerges that the Klamath seaweed:
acts on the immune system as an immunomodulator: it stimulates the activity of macrophages and the migration of leukocytes in the blood;
antioxidant: beta-carotene, accompanied by numerous other carotenoids, including alpha-carotene, gamma-carotene, zeaxanthin, astaxanthin, lutein and lycopene;
contains vitamins (C, E) and minerals (selenium, zinc, manganese, etc.);
antiviral action: important results on pathologies ranging from herpes to various forms of hepatitis;
fat metabolism: to normalize the metabolism of fatty acids, while reducing bad cholesterol and triglycerides;
stimulates muscle and organic growth
normalization of glycemic metabolism: to the reduction of glucose levels in the plasma
restores normal intestinal permeability.
