Dosage and method of use
50 mg / ml syrup. Adults: 1 tablespoon 3 times a day; children over 5 years: 1 teaspoon 2-3 times a day in relation to age. 100 mg / ml syrup: the use of the medicine is reserved for adults, 1 tablespoon 2 times a day, morning and evening. 1500 mg powder for oral use: the use of the medicine is reserved for adults, 1 sachet 2 times a day, morning and evening. Dissolve the recommended contents of the sachet in half a glass of still water. Recommended duration of treatment. Acute respiratory tract diseases: 8 to 10 days. Chronic and relapsing affections of the ENT or bronchial sphere: from 10 days to 3 weeks several times a year.

Contraindications
Hypersensitivity 'to the active substance or to any of the excipients. Gastro-duodenal ulcer.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding
Although the active principle is neither teratogenic nor mutagenic and has not shown negative effects on reproductive function in animals, no data are available on its use in human pregnancy. Therefore, the use of the medicine is contraindicated in pregnancy. Since no data are available on the passage of carbocysteine into breast milk, the use of the drug is contraindicated during breastfeeding.
