ACTIVE PRINCIPLES
0.2% Cutaneous solution: 100 ml contain 0.200g cetylpyridinium chloride. 0.1% Mouthwash: 100 g contain: cetylpyridinium chloride 0.100 g. 3 mg Lozenges without sugar: cetylpyridinium chloride 3.00 mg.
EXCIPIENTS
Sugar-free tablets: mint essence, eucalyptol, tragacanth, rice starch, magnesium stearate, mannitol, sorbitol. Mouthwash: citric acid, essence of mint, eucalyptol, eugenol, polysorbate80, sodium saccharinate, sorbitol 70%, ethyl alcohol, purified water Skin solution: essence of roses, purified water.
INDICATIONS
Sugar-free tablets, mouthwash: disinfection of the oral mucosa Skin solution: disinfection of even injured skin, wounds, bruises, cuts and skin lesions. The product can be used in the disinfection of objects.
CONTRAINDICATIONS / SECONDARY EFFECT
Hypersensitivity 'to the active substance or to any of the excipients. Sugar-free tablets: do not use in children under 12, unless otherwise prescribed. Mouthwash: Do not use in children under 6 years of age.
DOSAGE
Sugar-free tablets: one tablet every 3-4 hours, to be dissolved slowly in the mouth, with a maximum of 6 tablets per day. Do not exceed the recommended dose. Mouthwash: 1 - 2 tablespoons diluted in half a glass of water for rinsing and gargling, every 3 - 4 hours. Do not exceed the recommended dose. Skin solution: cleanse the affected area with a cotton swab soaked in skin solution, or pour a little product on the lesion and apply a sterile gauze soaked in skin solution. Repeat the application 2 or 3 times a day if necessary. For the disinfection of objects: use the pure skin solution, as needed.
STORAGE
Sugar-free tablets: store in the original package. Skin solution, mouthwash: keep the container tightly closed.
WARNINGS
Do not use for prolonged treatments. After a short period of treatment without noticeable results, consult your doctor. The accidental ingestion or inhalation of some disinfectants can have serious, sometimes fatal consequences. Avoid contact with eyes. Skin solution: the product is for external use only. The use, especially if prolonged, of products for topical use can give rise to sensitization phenomena: in this case, stop the treatment and consult the doctor, to establish a suitable therapy. The product must not be placed in contact with the eyes, the brain, the meninges, the middle ear. It must not be used for the disinfection of mucous cavities (washing, irrigation). Do not expose the treated part to direct sunlight after applying the product. Sugar-free tablets: Patients with rare hereditary problems of fructose intolerance should not take this medicine.
INTERACTIONS
Avoid the simultaneous use of other antiseptics and detergents.
SIDE EFFECTS
Skin solution: local intolerance (burning or irritation) may occur in some cases. Sugar-free tablets, mouthwash: Transient gum irritation, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, stomatitis, taste disturbance, mild tooth discoloration, allergic dermatitis have been sporadically reported during clinical trials. PREGNANCY AND BREASTFEEDING
The product is a disinfectant for local use. Cutaneous solution: there are no contraindications for use in case of pregnancy or breastfeeding. Sugar-free tablets, mouthwash: There are no data from the use of cetylpyridinium chloride in pregnant women. In pregnant women and during breastfeeding, the medicine should be administered in case of real need and under the direct supervision of the doctor.
