RUSCOROID RECTAL CREAM 40 G 1% + 1%
Ruscoroid Rectal Cream is a cream suitable for the treatment of symptoms related to the onset of hemorrhoids, anal fissures and proctitis. The most common symptoms associated with these disorders that can be treated with this cream are itching, pain and a sense of weight.
These three disorders, hemorrhoids, anal fissures and proctitis are often hidden, especially in the initial phase, by those who suffer from them out of shame. Instead, they are problems that deserve special attention and care to avoid worsening and more serious consequences.
Hemorrhoids are a very annoying problem that often prevents you from carrying out normal daily activities. Hemorrhoids are very small vascular pads placed in the anus. Their function is to help the blood exchange, if the pads swell they cause pain. Hemorrhoids affect about 10% of the population in developed countries, and are generally more common after age 50.
The anal fissure is instead a sort of small cut that is created on the lower edge of the anus following excessive dilation during the passage of feces.
The main causes are constipation especially when there is the expulsion of hard and bulky stools. Diarrhea that leads to an increase in the alkaline pH of the stool, which is particularly harmful to the anal mucosa, is also one of the causes. The key symptom of anal fissure is severe pain during defecation, followed by burning and itching.
Proctitis is an inflammatory process of the rectum, accompanied by rectal pain and a constant feeling of need to defecate. It can also be associated with small rectal bleeding and loss of anal mucus. The causes can be different, generally there are inflammatory bowel diseases or venereal infectious diseases.
The treatment of these annoying pains varies in relation to the severity of the same: in the mildest cases they can disappear with simple daily precautions both at a food and motor level. In very serious cases it is necessary to intervene at a surgical level.
However, there are cases that due to their severity can be placed in the middle of these two extremes and that can be treated thanks to the use of topical drugs, such as creams.
An example of this type of drug is Ruscoroid cream based on ruscogenin, a steroid glycoside that is extracted from the roots of the butcher's broom. The fruit of the butcher's broom is a red berry very similar to holly. The recognized clinical properties of the butcher's broom favor a venotonic, vasoconstrictive and anti-inflammatory action.
The product also includes tetracaine which is a contact anesthetic that has the function of relieving both pain and itching generated by hemorrhoids, fissures and proctitis.
The application of the cream, directly or using the special applicator supplied, must take place 1 or 2 times a day, without exceeding the recommended daily dose and for a relatively short period of time.
Like all products for topical use, prolonged use can cause sensitization phenomena that lead to a continuous worsening of symptoms and a lesser action of the drug. In this case it is advisable to consult your doctor.
If you are pregnant before using the drug it is best to consult your general practitioner to assess whether it is necessary.
