RINOCIDINA 7.5 MG + 3 MG NASAL DROPS, SOLUTION

PHARMACOTHERAPEUTIC CATEGORY
Nasal decongestants and other topical preparations.

ACTIVE PRINCIPLES
One bottle of 15ml contains: naphazoline nitrate 7.5mg, tyrotricin 3mg.

EXCIPIENTS
Glucose, purified water, methyl p-hydroxybenzoate, ethyl p-hydroxybenzoate, ethyl alcohol, polyethylene glycol 300.

INDICATIONS
Topical therapy of rhinitis and sinusitis of bacterial origin.

CONTRAINDICATIONS / SECONDARY EFFECT
Hypersensitivity to components or strictly correlated substances from a chemical point of view, severe heart disease and arterial hypertension, glaucoma, hyperthyroidism. Do not administer during and in the two weeks following therapy with Monoamine Oxidase Inhibitors (MAOIs). The use of the product in children is not recommended. The drug is contraindicated in children younger than 12 years.

DOSAGE
3-6 drops per nostril, 3-4 times a day. Strictly adhere to the recommended doses. A higher dosage of the product, even if taken topically and for a short period of time, can 'give rise to severe systemic effects. A slight sediment does not alter the activity of the preparation. Just shake it before you use it.

STORAGE
Store at a temperature not exceeding 25 degrees C.

WARNINGS
To be used only for nasal instillations with the exclusion of use in the case of deep surgical interventions. In patients with cardiovascular diseases, especially in hypertensive patients, the use of nasal decongestants must in any case be subjected to the judgment of the doctor from time to time. The prolonged use of vasoconstrictors can alter the normal function of the mucous membrane of the nose and paranasal sinuses, also inducing addiction to the drug. Repeating applications for long periods can be harmful. Use the preparation with caution, due to the danger of urinary retention, in the elderly and in patients with prostatic hypertrophy. The use, especially if prolonged, of topical products can give rise to sensitization phenomena; in this case it is necessary to interrupt the treatment and, if necessary, to institute a suitable therapy. However, in the absence of a complete therapeutic response within a few days, consult your doctor; in any case, the treatment should not be continued for more than a week. Follow the recommended doses scrupulously. Do not dispose of the bottle in the environment after use.

SIDE EFFECTS
The product can locally determine phenomena of rebound, sensitization and congestion of the mucous membranes. For rapid absorption of naphazoline through the inflamed mucous membranes, systemic effects may occur consisting of arterial hypertension, reflex bradycardia, headache, urination disturbances.

PREGNANCY AND BREASTFEEDING
In pregnant women, the product should be administered in cases of real need and under direct medical supervision. Use with caution in the first months of pregnancy.
