The properties of the ingredients of Retin DHA

• Omega3, rich in DHA (Docosaenoic Acid), are essential fatty acids with antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties, essential for the correct development and functioning of the organism. DHA, as an essential component of brain and retinal cellular tissues, plays a decisive role in the prevention of neurological and retinal aging (neurological diseases, maculopathies, retinopathies, glaucoma).
• DHA is also an important component of vascular and heart membranes, contributing to their elasticity and fluidity; the integration of DHA in the diet leads to a reduction in cholesterol levels, triglycerides, blood pressure, platelet aggregation and the development of atherosclerotic plaques, thus reducing the risk of cardiovascular mortality.
• Alpha Lipoic Acid (Thioptic Acid) is a small molecule extremely effective against free radicals, the main cause of cellular aging; this antioxidant also plays a decisive role as a cofactor of important enzymatic processes.
• Alpha Lipoic Acid, by enhancing the effect of insulin, has been shown to be useful for controlling blood sugar in diabetic subjects.
• Alpha Lipoic Acid limits the glycation processes that lead to tissue damage and premature aging (neuropathies, retinopathies, atherosclerosis), making it useful in the prevention of diseases such as cataracts and stroke.
• Coenzyme Q10 (Ubiquinone) has a powerful antioxidant action thanks to its protective capacity against free radicals.
• Coenzyme Q10 is produced by our cells, but its synthesis decreases with age, or with the intake of certain drugs such as some beta-blockers or statins (drugs against hypercholesterolemia), or in chronic diseases. It is found in high concentration in the heart and its use helps prevent cardiovascular diseases.
• Coenzyme Q10 is essential for the correct functioning of the mitochondria, thus favoring cellular respiration and the increase of energy and muscle strength, and its use is therefore useful in conditions of asthenia, or overexertion, or in some neuromuscular diseases.
• Lutein and Zeaxanthin, belonging to the carotenoid family, make up the macular pigments. Once absorbed, these molecules accumulate in the eye where they perform an antioxidant and protective action on the retina (retinal diseases) and on the lens (cataracts).
• Vitamin E, Zinc, Copper and Selenium represent molecules with a cellular protective function due to their ability to counteract the action of free radicals. Vitamin E is localized at the level of cell membranes where it exerts its action protecting them from oxidative stress; it also has the property of optimizing the antioxidant action of Alpha Lipoic Acid. Zinc and Copper are molecules with antioxidant properties, involved in numerous enzymatic activities, therefore important in age-related degenerative conditions. Indications: Complete Plus is a dietary supplement of Vitamins, Coenzyme Q10, Minerals, Lutein and Zeaxanthin with Fish Oil and Alpha Lipoic Acid. It is recommended in the case of increased need or decreased intake with the diet of the nutrients that compose it.
