Piroxicam Doc Crema 1% Antidolorifica 50 g

Therapeutic indications

Painful states of a rheumatic, inflammatory or traumatic nature of the joints, muscles, tendons and ligaments (arthritis, periarthritis, osteoarthritis in various locations in the exacerbation phase, synovitis, tendinitis, tenosynovitis, bursitis, bruises, sprains, strains, sequelae dislocations, myalgia, brachialgia, back pain, torticollis).

Dosage

Spread 2-3 centimeters of cream on the painful area, massaging slowly until completely absorbed, repeating the administration 2-3 or more times a day.

Overdose

No cases of overdose of the product have been reported.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients listed in section 6.1. Piroxicam is contraindicated in cases of confirmed or suspected pregnancy and breastfeeding

Side effects

The use of the product, especially if prolonged, can give rise to local sensitization or irritation phenomena. In this case, treatment must be interrupted and appropriate therapy instituted. Pregnancy and breastfeeding

Piroxicam is contraindicated in cases of confirmed or suspected pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Special warnings

See sections 4.5 and 4.6. Important information about some of the ingredients This medicinal product contains propylene glycol which may cause skin irritation and cetostearyl alcohol which may cause local skin reactions (eg contact dermatitis).

Expiry and Retention

This medicine does not require any special storage conditions.

Active principles

100 g of cream contains 1 g of piroxicam. Excipients with known effects: propylene glycol, cetostearyl alcohol. For the full list of excipients, see section 6.1.
