Paracetamol based effervescent tablets.
Piros Effervescent Tablets is used in the symptomatic treatment of acute painful states (headache, neuralgia, toothache, menstrual pain) and febrile states.
The drug should be taken according to the following doses and methods:
Do not administer for more than 3 consecutive days without consulting your doctor. Do not exceed the recommended dose. The drug should be taken on a full stomach. Dissolve the effervescent tablet in a glass containing a little water, stirring as needed with a teaspoon.
In case of overdose, paracetamol can cause hepatic cytolysis, which can evolve towards massive and irreversible necrosis: in the same case it can cause even serious changes in the kidney and blood, which occur 12 to 48 hours after intake. Symptoms due to acute paracetamol intoxication: nausea, vomiting, anorexia, pallor, abdominal pain which generally appear during the first 24 hours. Emergency procedure: rapid elimination of the ingested product by gastric lavage, possibly forced diuresis and hemodialysis. Antidote: as timely as possible intravenous administration of the conjugating substances N-acetylcysteine or cysteamine.
Skin reactions of various types and severities have been reported with the use of paracetamol, including cases of erythema multiforme, Stevens Johnson syndrome and epidermal necrolysis. Hypersensitivity reactions such as angioedema, laryngeal edema, anaphylactic shock have been reported. In addition, the following undesirable effects have been reported: thrombocytopenia, leukopenia, anemia, agranulocytosis, liver function abnormalities and hepatitis, kidney disorders (acute renal failure, interstitial nephritis, haematuria, anuria), gastrointestinal reactions and dizziness.
During pregnancy and lactation administer the product only in case of need and under the direct supervision of the doctor.
Paracetamol should be administered with caution to patients with mild to moderate hepatocellular insufficiency (including Gilbert's syndrome), severe hepatic insufficiency (Child-Pugh> 9), severe hepatic insufficiency, acute hepatitis, concomitantly treated with drugs that alter the liver function, glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency, haemolytic anemia. High or prolonged doses of paracetamol-based products can cause high-risk liver disease and even severe changes in the kidney and blood. Paracetamol can cause hepatotoxic and nephrotoxic effects. Administer with caution in subjects with renal insufficiency. During treatment with paracetamol, before taking any other drug check that it does not contain the same active ingredient, as if paracetamol is taken in high doses, serious adverse reactions can occur. Instruct the patient to contact the physician before associating any other medication. See also the heading "Interactions". In rare cases of allergic reactions, administration should be discontinued.
Check the expiration date indicated on the package. The expiry date indicated on the package refers to the product in intact packaging, correctly stored. This medicinal product does not require any special storage conditions.
