Insupen pen needles are equipped with the Pic needle, the result of the “indolor experience” (painless technology).
Thanks to their small external diameter, thin walls and a lubricating treatment, the pen needles of the Insupen range allow for a comfortable injection.
The range of Insupen pen needles is complete in diameter and length, suitable for any injection technique.
They are available in 5 lengths:
- 4 mm
- 5 mm
- 6 mm
- 8 mm
- 12 mm
and in 5 diameters:
29G
30G
31G
32G
33G
33G Gentle: the smallest pen needle ever made by Pic. The thinnest of the range, with a real outer diameter of 0.20mm and 4mm long. Its thin walls allow easy penetration and high flow capacity, thus offering the diabetic patient an almost imperceptible treatment. The 33G pen needle allows for easy injection.
Technical features of the range:
- Triple sharpening to facilitate penetration into the skin and reduce the sensation of pain.
- Lubricating treatments to reduce the needle's resistance to penetration.
- The larger internal diameter (Thin Wall) allows you to speed up the flow of insulin and therefore reduce the time to perform the injection.
- The tip intended to penetrate the cap of the insulin cartridge is also worked with an anti-friction treatment called "anti-coring" which facilitates the insertion of the needle into the cap by reducing the release of fragments inside the cartridge itself .
IMPORTANT:
The pen needle is a sterile disposable device, therefore it must be changed with each injection, because there is a risk of:
- not having an accurate dosage. Leaving the needle attached to the pen between injections can alter the composition of the insulin;
- let air into the cartridge through the needle. Air bubbles reduce the regular flow of insulin during injection, with the consequent risk of reduced drug delivery;
- crystallize the insulin. If you leave the needle attached, the insulin left inside the pen can turn into crystals and completely or partially clog the needle, making it difficult or impossible to inject;
- get infections. Once used, in fact, the pen needle has lost its sterility;
- have a more painful injection. During the injection, the lubricant, affixed to the needle, is completely removed and the tip of the needle undergoes a progressive deformation, losing its original shape.
Insupen pen needles comply with Type A EN ISO 11608-2: 2000 and therefore compatible with all insulin pens that comply with this standard.
They are CE 0373 products. Read the instructions for use carefully.
