WARNINGS
It does not prevent a tick infestation to animals, but ticks can be eliminated in the first 24-48 hours after infestation before having a full blood meal thus keeping the risk of disease transmission to a minimum. Dead ticks often detach from the animal and the remaining ticks can be easily removed by gently removing them with your hands. As part of the therapeutic strategy for the treatment of flea allergy dermatitis, it is recommended to apply the drug monthly on the allergic patient and on other dogs in the household. To optimally control flea infestations in a household with several pets, all dogs and cats should be treated with a suitable insecticide. Ticks could attach themselves to the animal; for this reason the transmission of infectious diseases cannot be completely excluded in the presence of unfavorable conditions. Fleas present on pets often infest the animal's basket, blankets and areas where the animal lives which, in case of massive infestations and at the beginning of pesticide treatment, must be treated with a special insecticide and regularly cleaned with an aspirator. Avoid frequent bathing or shampooing of the animal as the continued effectiveness of the product in these conditions has not been tested. Avoid contact with the animal's eyes; in case of accidental contact, immediately wash the eyes with abundant quantities of water. For external use only. Animals should be weighed carefully before treatment. It is important to make sure that the product is applied in an area where the animal is unable to lick itself as well as to check that the animals do not lick each other after the treatment. Do not apply the product on wounds or damaged skin. Special precautions for those administering the product to animals: People with known hypersensitivity to fipronil or its excipients should avoid contact with the veterinary medicinal product. It can cause irritation to the mucous membranes and eyes; avoid contact with mouth and eyes. Avoid letting the contents come into contact with your hands. In case of accidental contact, immediately wash the eyes with abundant quantities of water. Do not touch or let children play with treated animals until the application site is dry. It is therefore advisable to treat the animals early in the evening. Fipronil could have an adverse effect on aquatic organisms. Dogs should not swim in streams for two days after application. Alcohol used as a vehicle could have adverse effects on painted surfaces or furniture or other types of furniture in the home. The product is flammable and must therefore be kept away from heat sources, sparks, open flame or other sources of ignition. Wash your hands after handling the medicine; do not smoke, drink or eat during application. Overdose: No adverse effects were observed in safety studies in the target species in puppies of 8 weeks of age, juvenile dogs and dogs weighing approximately 2 kg treated on 3 occasions with a dosage of 5 times the recommended dose. . The risk of onset of adverse effects could however increase in the event of overdose and therefore animals should always be treated with the pipette of the size corresponding to their body weight.
