CDP-choline (Cytidindiphosphocholine or Citicoline) is a molecule present in the body.
It is physiologically used as a precursor in the endogenous synthesis of phospholipids of the nerve cell membrane, as well as participating in the maturation processes of visual functions.
CDP-choline is also used by nerve cells for the synthesis of acetylcholine, which is essential for the propagation of visual signals.
In fact, it has been shown that, in the case of impaired visual functions, the specific and prolonged introduction of CDP-choline improves the transmission of electrical impulses from the retina to the brain.
