EXCIPIENTS
Granules for oral suspension 0.3 g: sodium bicarbonate; citric acid; colloidal silica; orange flavor; lemon flavor; saccharin; sucrose. Syrup 20 mg / ml (children): sodium benzoate; methyl p-hydroxybenzoate; ethyl p-hydroxybenzoate; propyl p-hydroxybenzoate; sucrose; vanillin; bur-caramel aroma; purified water. Syrup 50 mg / ml (adults): sodium benzoate; methyl p-hydroxybenzoate; ethyl p-hydroxybenzoate; propyl p-hydroxybenzoate; sucrose; vanillin; bur-caramel aroma; caramel E 150; purified water.

INDICATIONS
Mucolytic and fluidifying agent in acute and chronic diseases of the respiratory system.

CONTRAINDICATIONS / SECONDARY EFFECT
Hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients; gastro-duodenal ulcers; pregnancy and breastfeeding; children younger than 2 years.

DOSAGE
Granules for oral suspension. Adults: 1 sachet 3-4 times a day. Children: 1 / 2-1 sachet 2 times a day. Dissolve the recommended doses in a glass containing two fingers of water, stirring with a teaspoon. Syrup 20 mg / ml (children): from 2 to 5 years 1 teaspoon 2-3 times a day; over 5 years 1 teaspoon 3-4 times a day in relation to age. These doses can be increased according to the doctor's prescription. Syrup 50 mg / ml (adults): 2 or 3 tablespoons per day. These doses can be increased according to the doctor's prescription.

WARNINGS
Mucolytics can induce bronchial obstruction in children less than 2 years of age. In fact, the drainage capacity of the bronchial mucus is limited in this age group, due to the physiological characteristics of the respiratory tract. They should therefore not be used in children younger 'less than 2 years. The product contains sucrose. The product contains methyl para-hydroxybenzoate, ethyl p-hydroxybenzoate, propyl p-hydroxybenzoate, which can cause allergic reactions, usually delayed.

INTERACTIONS

SIDE EFFECTS
Dizziness and digestive phenomena such as gastralgia, nausea and diarrhea may occur. In these cases it is necessary to reduce the dosage or interrupt the therapy. In addition, allergic cutaneous rashes and anaphylactic reactions, fixed erythema may occur. In such cases, stop the treatment and consult your doctor to establish a suitable therapy. Bronchial obstruction may occur.

PREGNANCY AND BREASTFEEDING
Although the active principle is neither teratogenic nor mutagenic and has not shown negative effects on reproductive function in animals, no data are available on its use in human pregnancy. Therefore, the use of the medicine is contraindicated in pregnancy. Since no data are available on the passage of carbocysteine in breast milk, the use of the drug is contraindicated during breastfeeding.
