PHARMACOTHERAPEUTIC CATEGORY
Antimicrobials and antiseptics, excluding associations with corticosteroids.

ACTIVE PRINCIPLES
Miconazole 0.200 g.

EXCIPIENTS
Propylene glycol, lactic acid, undebenzophene, ricinoleyl alcohol, polysorbate 20, fragrance composition, purified water.

INDICATIONS
Adjuvant in the therapy of vulvo-vaginal infections from Candida, even if superinfected by Gram-positive germs: it can also be used after other topical or oral therapy, in order to reduce the risk of relapses.

CONTRAINDICATIONS / SECONDARY EFFECT
Hypersensitivity 'to the active substance or to any of the excipients.

DOSAGE
In the morning, apply the solution into the vagina using the entire bottle. According to medical judgment, daily applications may extend beyond the normal 5 - 6 days of therapy.

STORAGE
Store at a temperature not exceeding 25 degrees C.

WARNINGS
Carry out the following operations: hold the bottle by the knurled ring and rotate the cap, until the safety seal breaks, extract it until it touches the head of the cannula below; remove the cannula, always holding it through the cap, until it stops, continue pulling the head until you hear the click of the right position. Only the complete sliding of the cannula head allows the correct outflow of the solution. Gently introduce the cannula into the vagina and press the walls of the bottle by means of more or less intense pressure, in order to make it completely empty; a special valve does not allow the return of the solution into the bottle. Irrigation should preferably be performed in a lying position. Slow irrigation promotes better medicated cleansing. The product is easy to apply, does not stain the skin or clothing. This medicine contains propylene glycol among the excipients and therefore can 'cause skin irritation.

INTERACTIONS
None ascertained.

SIDE EFFECTS
Miconazole therapy is well tolerated. Rarely, miconazole can cause vaginal burning or irritation, pelvic cramps; more rarely even skin rashes and headaches. In these cases it is necessary to suspend the treatment and institute a suitable therapy.

PREGNANCY AND BREASTFEEDING
In the first trimester of pregnancy, the product should only be used if clearly needed.
