100 g contain: Magnesium hydroxide 40 g.

Sodium bicarbonate, tartaric acid, lemon or mint flavor, sucrose

INDICATIONS
Purgative, laxative, antacid.

CONTRAINDICATIONS / SECONDARY EFFECT
Hypersensitivity to the components or other strictly correlated substances from a chemical point of view. In the presence of acute surgical abdomen. Patients with impaired renal function.

DOSAGE
As a purgative: pour a spoonful of Magnesia Effervescente Sella into a glass of water, shake and drink at the end of the effervescence. It is recommended to take it in the evening or in the morning. As a laxative: a teaspoon of Sella Effervescent Magnesia in a glass of water. As an antacid: half a teaspoon in a little water. For children, they will reduce them in half or less, according to age. Do not exceed the recommended dose.

STORAGE
Keep the container tightly closed, away from humidity.

WARNINGS
The product should not be used in case of: severe renal insufficiency; heart failure. It should be used with caution in case of: pregnancy; treatment with other drugs administered orally (separate the two administrations for at least 2 hours); mild renal insufficiency (monitor magnesemia). The product contains sugars. This should be taken into account in diabetic patients and patients who follow low-calorie diets. Do not use for prolonged treatments. The continuous use of laxatives can cause addiction or damage of various kinds. Do not use laxatives if abdominal pain, nausea, or vomiting are present. If constipation is persistent, see your doctor. In case of kidney disease, to be used only on prescription. After a short period of treatment without noticeable results, consult your doctor.

INTERACTIONS
Magnesium salts, taken orally for antacid or laxative purposes, can modify the pharmacokinetics of various drugs taken simultaneously. These interactions are exerted through various mechanisms: accelerating gastric emptying; reducing the absorption of associated drugs, due to the formation of insoluble complexes; modifying the secretory and motor function of the intestine, secondary to alkalinization. Magnesium salts: reduce the absorption of indometachron, nitrofurantoin, aminophylline, chlordiazepoxide; increase the absorption of dicumarolytics; reduce the absorption and oral bioavailability of tetracyclines, anticholinergics, cimetidine, digoxin; they reinforce the action of peripheral muscle relaxants.

SIDE EFFECTS
Hypermagnesemia, in case of prolonged or high dose administration.

PREGNANCY AND BREASTFEEDING
Magnesium-based purgatives should be used with great caution in case of pregnancy. However, it is recommended to use it only after consulting your doctor.
