drops Dietary supplement of Lutein and Zeaxanthin, indicated in the case of increased need or decreased intake with the diet of its components in all different age groups. It can be useful, in particular, in the prevention of retinal or macular damage from excess free radicals, or where greater protection is required against oxidative stress or during the development of visual functions.
Lutein and Zeaxanthin
They are two very common carotenoids in nature that the human body is unable to synthesize. After absorption, lutein and zeaxanthin are distributed in all tissues, but they accumulate selectively in the eye, in particular in the retina and in the macula lutea, which is responsible for the vision of clear images, the development of which is completed around at the 4th-5th month of life. Lutein and zeaxanthin are pigments present in the macula lutea and help to maintain the functionality and integrity of the sensitive structures of the eye (retina, iris, crystalline) by preventing or minimizing damage induced by free radicals. They pass the placental barrier, are also present in colostrum and breast milk and are thought to contribute to the process of developing visual function in the newborn. They are useful for eye health in both adults and children from the first hours of life. An integration of these substances is therefore necessary in situations of increased need or in a state of insufficient intake, both during the maturation of the ocular structures responsible for the visual function (macula) and for the conservation of the same.

How to use
