Topical.
DOSAGE
Cutaneous use. One pet collar should be applied around the neck. For small dogs (up to 8 kg of body weight) apply a collar of 38 cm in length and 12.5 g in weight. To medium-sized dogs (over 8 kg body weight, up to 20 kg), apply a 53 cm long and 30.2 g weight collar To large dogs (over 20 kg body weight), apply a collar of 70 cm in length and 45 g in weight. For external use only. Make sure there are no typos of the plastic connectors inside the collar. Adjust the collar around the pet's neck without over-tightening (as a guide, it should be possible to insert 2 fingers between the collar and the pet's neck). Slide the excess collar through the loop and cut off any excess of more than 2 cm. The typical collar odor disappears after a few days. With the application fleas and ticks die quickly. Dead parasites can remain attached to the coat for a few days, or they can be effortlessly removed with a brush. In rare cases, some ticks can attach themselves to the dog's skin, even in the presence of the collar; these ticks leave the animal after a maximum of 3 days, usually without sucking blood. The collar, based on propoxur and flumethrin, contains a micronized powder, which is rapidly distributed throughout the animal's body and guarantees effective protection against ticks and fleas throughout the season at risk. The collar remains effective even if the dust becomes invisible after some time. In case of massive infestations, before applying the collar it is good to intervene with a zecchicide bath using special products; ask your veterinarian. The effectiveness and effective life of the collar depend on the length, thickness, condition of the coat and the environmental parasitic pressure. If the effectiveness of the collar decreases, it may need to be replaced sooner. The collar must also be removed when the dog is bathed and reapplied when the animal is dry. If the collar accidentally gets wet, it resumes its anti-parasitic action when it dries. Frequent contact with water (rain, baths, washing) can reduce the effectiveness of the collar.
STORAGE
Store in the original packaging. Keep away from food, feed and drinks and containers intended to contain them.
WARNINGS
It is necessary to continuously check the integrity of the collar throughout the period of stay in contact with the animal. Use the product according to the instructions for use indicated. The prolonged use of products for topical use can give rise to sensitization phenomena; in this case, stop the treatment. In the first days of use, it is advisable to check the animal's neck. In case of irritation or adverse reactions remove the collar. A collar that is too tight can cause skin irritation. In this case it must be temporarily removed. If the animal accidentally ingests the product, contact your veterinarian immediately for symptomatic treatment. Special precautions for those administering the product to animals: wash hands thoroughly with soap and water after handling the product. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Persons with known hypersensitivity to the active substance propoxur or to flumethrin or to any of the excipients should avoid contact with the veterinary medicinal product. Keep out of reach of children. Prevent children from coming into contact with animals wearing the collar. Do not play with the collar, especially children. Do not suck or chew the collar, especially children. Keep the package tightly closed until use. This product is highly toxic to aquatic organisms, birds and bees. Do not allow dogs wearing the collar to swim in streams containing aquatic organisms. This product can cause long-term adverse effects in the aquatic environment. Do not contaminate rivers, reservoirs, waterways, dams and other water sources with the unused product. Do not drink, eat or smoke while handling the product. Do not contaminate with the product foods, drinks and containers intended to contain them. This product contains a carbamate. In case of toxicity symptoms please consult a doctor. For veterinary use only. Overdose: in tests conducted by applying two collars at the same time to the neck of dogs of different breed, age and weight, no signs of local and systemic intolerability, correlated to the treatment, were detected. Symptoms of carbamate poisoning such as salivation, pupillary constriction, vomiting or diarrhea may arise particularly when the collar is chewed or swallowed. Should clinical signs of carbamate poisoning occur, treatment consists of symptomatic measures and intravenous administration of atropine.
