Humana AR Food for special medical purposes indicated for feeding infants with an established pathology of the gastroesophageal joint. From birth to the 12th month thickened with carob seed flour.
Carob seed flour consisting of galactomannans (88%) is not broken down by salivary amylase, maintaining the thickening effect even after reaching the stomach, unlike rice flour which is broken down by salivary enzymes.
(1-8) It does not provide any nutritional value and does not alter the energy value of infant formulas.
(2) Carob bean gum thickened formulas are effective for uncomplicated gastroesophageal reflux (GER) in the infant, reducing the number of regurgitation episodes without affecting the rate of gastric emptying.
(1,2,6) Facilitates gastric transit.
(8) Allows for better digestibility and greater absorption of iron, zinc and calcium.
(8) Ingrediants Skimmed milk; demineralized whey protein powder; vegetable oils; maltodextrin; lactose; carob seed flour; minerals; emulsifier: soy lecithin; vitamins; L-tyrosine; taurine; L-phenylalanine; L-tryptophan.
Warnings Breast milk is the ideal food for the infant.
If breastfeeding is not sufficient or possible, after consulting the pediatrician, you can use formulated milk.
Feeding with milk alone is not enough after the 6th month of life.
