Patch product CE 0476, class IIa. Patch with hydrocolloid adhesive able to protect and treat the symptoms of cold sores. Master-Aid Herpes Patch consists of a hydrocolloid matrix deposited on a polyurethane support. This matrix has useful characteristics for the protection and treatment of lesions and is composed of carboxymethylcellulose and konjac rubber. These hydrophilic polymers are able to absorb exudates and maintain a "controlled" degree of humidity on the wound. Controlling the humidity of the lesion is a necessary condition for correct healing. Master-Aid Herpes Patch also contains calendula extract, a vegetable oil with emollient properties that make it possible to soften the external epithelium of the labial surface, minimizing the discomfort due to the sensation of the herpes lesion.
