GENGIGEL is a product based on high molecular weight hyaluronic acid (HMW) (in the form of sodium hyaluronate), obtained with biotechnological processes that guarantee its high purity. Its formulation is specifically designed to adapt to the normal gingival mucosa.
Hyaluronic acid is, in fact, a natural product, as a physiological constituent of the connective tissue (especially of the gingival mucosa), where it performs an anti-edema and tissue repair action thanks to its macro-aggregating properties, which explain its activity. anti-inflammatory. Under normal conditions, HMW hyaluronic acid is distributed selectively and specifically, with a higher concentration in the outermost layer of the gingival epithelium, where it contributes to the barrier function and tensile strength of the periodontal ligament.
The presence of high molecular weight hyaluronic acid is essential for the optimal maintenance of the gingival tissue.
In periodontal pathologies and in situations of tissue trauma (inflammatory states, gingival bags, wounds, etc.) the tissue demand for hyaluronic acid increases considerably (even by 200% compared to the basal values) thus demonstrating the specific role it plays in the regulation of cell turnover and in the optimization of tissue regeneration capabilities.
The deficiency of hyaluronic acid that almost always occurs in these conditions prevents the injured tissue:
• To restore the normal balance of extracellular water (with consequent formation of edema, responsible for pain due to compression).
• To activate the migration of fibrocytes responsible for the reconstitution of the injured tissue (with consequent delay in healing).
At this point, the lack of hyaluronic acid itself becomes responsible for maintaining the inflammatory state.

GENGIGEL is an innovative product that provides high molecular weight hyaluronic acid of biotechnological origin. Its application carries out a prolonged balancing action of tissue fluids and promotes tissue healing and repair as it prevents the loss of hyaluronic acid from the gums. It is not absorbed by the mucosa. It has no local or systemic pharmacological effects. It is extensively depolymerized by the action of bacterial plaque and reduced to its main constituents. The special formulation of GENGIGEL guarantees maximum adhesiveness, reducing the impact of constant salivary drainage and allowing the hyaluronic acid to remain in place.
GENGIGEL is well tolerated, has no contraindications and no undesirable effects are known. It can be used without restrictions in children, pregnant women and the elderly. Precisely because of its tolerability, GENGIGEL is particularly suitable for those subjects in which a treatment with anti-inflammatories is not recommended. The use of xylitol as a sweetener avoids the onset of tooth decay and makes the product safe even for diabetic patients. Indications

How to use
Apply GENGIGEL three to five times a day after main meals, having provided for proper dental hygiene. Continue the applications for 3-4 weeks until the symptoms disappear.
Spray 1 or 2 sprays on the gum tissue. Each spray guarantees homogeneity and constant distribution of the product. Keep the bottle upright.
After application it is suggested not to introduce food or liquids into the oral cavity for about 30 minutes to avoid premature removal of GENGIGEL.
