Gaviscon Heartburn and Indigestion 24 envelopes

Gaviscon Heartburn and Indigestion is indicated for the treatment of acid-related gastroesophageal reflux symptoms, such as acid regurgitation, heartburn and indigestion, for example after meals or during pregnancy.

Active principles:
Sodium alginate
Sodium bicarbonate
Calcium carbonate

How it works
Sometimes, excess stomach acid can travel up the esophagus, causing inflammation and pain. This phenomenon is generally described as heartburn (you may sometimes hear it referred to as gastroesophageal reflux)
Sodium alginate, in contact with gastric acids, forms a barrier (a sort of "raft") that floats on the contents of the stomach, hindering its ascent
The two antacids (sodium bicarbonate and calcium carbonate) neutralize excess stomach acid to relieve indigestion pain and discomfort.

HOW TO USE
Adults, including the elderly and children 12 years and older: 10-20 ml (1 to 2 sachets) after meals and in the evening
before going to bed, up to four times a day. Children under 12 years: should only be given on medical advice.
