Nasal spray solution with decongestant action based on the active ingredient oxymetazoline.
Froben Cold, a medicine for nasal use, brings about a prolonged relief from nasal obstruction, in case of cold, as it works by narrowing the blood vessels of the mucous membrane of the nose (nasal decongestant). Froben Cold releases a stuffy nose. Talk to your doctor if you don't feel better after 4 days.
Always use this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. If in doubt, consult your doctor or pharmacist. You should not exceed the indicated doses without the advice of your doctor. The recommended dose is:
Remove the plastic cap, insert the tip of the bottle into the nostril and press very quickly and firmly, breathing deeply through the nose.
If you accidentally take an overdose of Froben Cold you should tell your doctor immediately or go to the nearest hospital. In these cases the following symptoms may occur: increased blood pressure (arterial hypertension), increased heart rate (tachycardia), painful sensation caused by light (photophobia), intense headache (severe headache), tightness in the chest. On the other hand, the following symptoms may occur in your baby: excessive lowering of the body temperature (hypothermia), marked sedation due to severe depression of the central nervous system. These symptoms require the adoption of adequate emergency measures, so contact your doctor immediately.
Do not use Froben Cold:
Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them. This medicine can locally determine the phenomena of allergic reaction (local sensitization) and congestion of the mucous membranes. There have been reports of: increased blood pressure (hypertension), decreased heart rate (reflex bradycardia), headache (headache) and difficulty urinating.
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before using this medicine.
Especially in the first months of pregnancy, consult your doctor and discuss the benefit / risk ratio of Froben Cold with him.

Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before using Froben Cold. You must not repeat the applications of Froben Raffreddore for long periods of time because it can be harmful, as prolonged use can alter the normal function of the mucous membrane of the nose and paranasal sinuses, also leading to addiction to the drug. In this case, stop the treatment and consult your doctor who will institute a suitable therapy. If you do not notice any improvement in the first 4 days with the medicine Froben Cold, contact your doctor.
Do not use the medicine by mouth. This medicine can be harmful if it is ingested by mistake or if you take it for a long time in high doses. Avoid contact of the liquid with the eyes. If you suffer or have suffered in the past from diseases of the heart and circulation, especially high blood pressure, you should consult your doctor who will advise you whether or not to take this medicine. If you are 65 or older, ask your doctor for advice as you may have problems emptying your bladder (urinary retention).
Attention for those who carry out sporting activities: the product contains substances prohibited for doping. It is forbidden to take a different dose, for dosage schedule and route of administration, from those reported. Children and adolescents: you must not give Froben Cold to your child if they are under 12 years of age. Froben Cold can have a marked sedative effect if it is accidentally ingested.
Check the expiration date indicated on the package. The expiry date indicated on the package refers to the product in intact packaging, correctly stored. After first opening the bottle, you must use the product within 4 weeks; after this period he must eliminate the surplus product. Do not refrigerate.

100 ml of Froben Cold Spray solution contain:
50 mg of oxymetazoline hydrochloride. One spray corresponds to 0.1 ml of solution and contains 0.05 mg of oxymetazoline.
Sorbitol, potassium dihydrogen phosphate, anhydrous dibasic sodium phosphate, chlorhexidine diacetate, purified water.
