Features

Fluspacer is a cylindrical spacer with a volume of about 310 ml made, in its central part, in transparent Terlux, a material that eliminates the drawbacks associated with the effects of electrostatic charge; a considerable reduction in the adhesion of the drug to the internal surface of the device is thus obtained, which is usually observed in spacers of other generations. Most of the drug will therefore be available in the form of particles capable of reaching the lower airways. The drug will therefore show a better therapeutic effect.
The mask is made of flexible thermoplastic rubber, easily adaptable to the face but at the same time robust and resistant to scratches.
The materials used for the manufacture of Fluspacer are non-toxic and of the type used for the manufacture of medical equipment and food containers also intended for the pediatric age.
It is sufficient to breathe in immediately after dispensing the arosol inside the spacer in order to receive the available dose of drug. The exhalation towards the inside of the device is prevented by a valve which diverts the flow towards the outside. In this way the drug does not come into contact with the exhaled humid air capable of altering the characteristics of the aerosol. At the following inspiratory act, therefore, the patient will receive only particles capable of depositing effectively in the lower airways.
Fluspacer also allows the complete evaporation of the propellant inside and thus avoids the abrupt stop of the inhalation act and the reflex cough consequent to the unpleasant sensation of cold typical of the propellant.

How to use

For Adults and Children:

• Remove the cap covering the mouthpiece, the lid and the protective cap for the device with shaped hole.
• Remove the protective cap from the mouthpiece of the drug spray can and shake the can well.
• Carefully insert the mouthpiece of the can into the shaped hole.
• After administering the prescribed doses, close the mouthpiece with the cap, remove the nebulizer, close the shaped hole with the specific protective cap and then attach the lid to it.

For adult aerosol therapy

Place the mouthpiece between your lips.
Place the Fluspacer in a horizontal position and press with your thumb on the bottom of the spray can, delivering a single dose of drug (be careful to spray only one dose inside the Fluspacer at a time).
Breathe in deeply and hold your breath for a few seconds.
Repeat the operations indicated as many times as the doses prescribed by the doctor.

For children's aerosol therapy

Insert the mask into the mouthpiece.
Place the mask gently but firmly on the baby's nose and mouth, making sure it adheres perfectly to the baby's face.
With your thumb, press once on the bottom of the drug spray can.
Keep the Fluspacer in position for the time necessary for the child to perform a few breaths.
Repeat the operations indicated as many times as the doses prescribed by the doctor.

Warnings and Contraindications

After use, close the mouthpiece and remove the nebulizer.
Suitable for adults and children.
