Intended use These products are designed to be placed inside the ear canal to help reduce exposure from dangerous levels of noise and loud sounds.
Attention • Always make sure that the complete product is:
- suitable for the application;
- worn correctly;
- worn for the entire period of exposure;
- replaced when necessary.

• Ear plugs with lanyard should not be used if there is a possibility that the lanyard may become entangled during use.
• Proper selection, training, use and proper maintenance are essential to ensure the user adequate noise protection.
• Failure to apply all the instructions for use relating to this product for personal protection and / or failure to use this product for the entire period of exposure may have negative consequences for the health of the user and cause serious illness or permanent disability.
• Read all instructions for use and keep them for continuous reference.
Wearing instruction Before putting on the inserts, check the integrity of the product and make sure it is not damaged or torn.
If you notice any damage, immediately replace the product with a new pair.
Wash your hands before putting on the earplugs.
Always wear earplugs before entering a noise risk area.
1. Roll up the insert until a well compressed cylinder is obtained.
2. Grasp the auricle with the opposite hand and pull the top to open the ear canal.
3. Insert the tapered insert into the ear canal while pulling the pinna outwards and upwards.
Hold in place until the insert expands again.
Verification of the seal When the inserts have been inserted correctly, your voice should be muffled and the surrounding sounds muffled than before.
Check your wear often during the period of exposure to noise.
If the inserts were to loosen, the actual protection offered against harmful noise could be significantly less.
To re-insert them, follow steps 1-3 above.
Note The size and shape of the ear canal is unique to each person.
If you are unable to wear these earplugs properly and are not achieving proper comfort, contact your safety officer or 3M representative for further advice.
