ACTIVE PRINCIPLES
Paste 100: mebendazole 100 mg / ml; praziquantel 5 mg / ml. Paste 40: mebendazole 40 mg / ml; praziquantel 2 mg / ml. Paste 20: mebendazole 20 mg / ml; praziquantel 1 mg / ml.

EXCIPIENTS
Sucrose, white petroleum jelly, anhydrous colloidal silica, white wax, aspartame, carob flavor, Controx VP, refined corn oil.

INDICATIONS
It is indicated in the treatment of nematode and gastrointestinal tapeworm infestations in dogs and cats. In particular. Nematodes: roundworms (Toxocara spp., Toxascaris spp.); hookworms (Ancylostoma spp., Uncinaria spp.); whipworm (Trichuris spp.). Cestodes: tapeworms (Echinococcus spp., Dipylidium spp., Taenia spp., Diphyllobothrium spp.).

CONTRAINDICATIONS / SECONDARY EFFECT
Do not use at the same time as external pesticides based on phosphoric esters.

USE / ROUTE OF ADMINISTRATION
Oral.

DOSAGE
It should be administered in dogs and cats at a dosage of 20 mg of mebendazole / kg bodyweight and 1 mg of praziquantel / kg bodyweight following the scheme below. DUELMINT 100 dogs and cats: 1 cc of paste, equal to 1 notch of the syringe, every 5 kg of live weight once a day for 3 consecutive days. One syringe is sufficient for the treatment of 25 kg of total weight in one course of therapy. DUELMINT 40 small dogs and cats: 1 cc of paste, equal to 1 notch of the syringe, every 2 kg of live weight once a day for 3 consecutive days. One syringe is sufficient to treat 10 kg of total weight in one cycle of therapy. DUELMINT 20 puppies and kittens: 1 cc of paste, pariad 1 notch of the syringe, each kg of live weight once a day for 3 consecutive days. One syringe is sufficient for the treatment of 5 kg of total weight in one course of therapy. Administer the paste by syringe directly into the animal's oral cavity, preferably at the base of the tongue. Fasting is not necessary and pasta can also be administered mixed with food. To ensure correct dosage, body weight must be determined as accurately as possible. Method of administration The product is packaged in syringe tubes equipped with a measuring ring and a graduated plunger in which each notch corresponds to one cubic centimeter (cc), equivalent to 1 ml. When the package is intact, the dosing ring is positioned at the end of the plunger. To predetermine the exact quantity of paste to be administered with precision, it is necessary to rotate the dosing ring clockwise. The ring nut must be stopped to the right of the notch corresponding to the desired number of cc, after which, once the cap has been removed, it is sufficient to press the plunger to the end of its stroke. For subsequent administrations, rotate the ring counterclockwise counting the number of cc to be administered, and so on until the syringe is completely empty.

STORAGE
Store at a temperature not exceeding 25 degrees C. Protect from light. Shelf life after first opening the primary packaging: 28 days.

WARNINGS
In case of roundworm infestation, it is advisable to repeat the treatment every 3-4 weeks until the coprological examination is negative, to affect the adults who have developed in the meantime from the various larval forms. The resistance of parasites to a specific class of anthelmintics can develop following frequent and repeated use of an active ingredient of the same class. In case of Dipylidium caninum infestations, an effective fight against vector fleas is necessary to prevent re-infestation. Dogs kept in groups or in kennels must be treated at the same time. Roundworm and hookworm infestation: in some animals, the parasites Ancylostoma caninum and Toxocara canis may not be completely eliminated by treatment with a consequent continuous risk of spreading the eggs into the environment. Stool control analyzes are recommended and, based on the results of these tests, if necessary, treatment with a nematodicide product can be carried out. In debilitated or severely infested animals, the product should only be used after a risk / benefit assessment by the responsible veterinarian. Do not use in animals with known hypersensitivity to one of the ingredients of the product. Special precautions for those administering the product to animals: in case of accidental contact, wash hands thoroughly.

SIDE EFFECTS
Vomiting and diarrhea may occur following treatment. Even if not observed in studies conducted on the product, it is possible to find anorexia, a common adverse reaction to products containing praziquantel.
