Drontal Multi Aroma Meat XL 2 Tablets

Drontal® Plus Flavor XL contains Febantel 525 mg; pyrantel embonate 504 mg; praziquantel 175 mg.

INDICATIONS

Drontal® Plus Flavor XL For dogs weighing 35 kg or more.
Polyvalent anthelmintic in tablets, for infestations by:

Nematodes:
- Roundworms (Toxocara canis, Toxascaris leonina) - Hookworms (Ancylostomacaninum, Uncinaria stenocephala) - Trichurids (Trichuris vulpis) Cestodes (adults and immature forms):
- Dipylidium caninum - Mesocestoides spp. - Taenia ovis, T. pisiformis, T. hydatigena, T. multiceps - Echinococcus granulosus

The dog, carrier of the echinococcus tapeworm, infests through sheep, cattle or pigs and can also transmit echinococcosis (hydatidosis, cystic form) to humans, a serious zoonosis in regions with sheep farming. The therapeutic and / or prophylactic intervention with the drug (possibly planned on a large scale) interrupts the biological cycle of the parasite and avoids transmission to humans. Destroy the stools released within 24 hours after treatment.

DOSAGE

Administration is 15 mg of febantel and 14.4 mg of pyrantel embonate and 5 mg of praziquantel for each kg of body weight. A single administration is sufficient for the complete deworming of dogs and frees the dog from all roundworms and tapeworms at the same time.
For the treatment of dogs the doses are as follows:

1/2 tablet for every 17.5 kg of body weight 1 tablet for every 35 kg of body weight CONTRAINDICATIONS

Until sufficient trials are available in early pregnancy bitches, the veterinary medicinal product should not be used in the first two thirds of gestation.

ADVERSE REACTIONS

Rare cases of gastrointestinal disturbances (vomiting, anorexia, diarrhea).

SPECIAL WARNINGS

Treatment should be based on the results of the parasitological examination of the stool. Pest resistance to any particular class of anthelmintics may develop after frequent and repeated use of an anthelmintic of that class. Overdose: a dose of product equal to 10 times that recommended was tolerated by dogs and puppies without signs of damage.
