Food supplement based on Melatonin, Zn and Se
The formulation has been scientifically studied and is based on melatonin of absolute purity , combined with an organic salt of zinc (zinc orotate) and selenium. It was developed with the right selection and combination of active ingredients and excipients in order to reproduce in the body the physiological nocturnal peak of Melatonin produced in the body by the Pineal Gland.
INDICATIONS
Mild insomnia
Disorders of falling asleep
Early awakenings
Jet-lag
COMPOSITION
1mg of synthetic melatonin, certified degree of purity> 99.8% (HPLC)
50mg of zinc orotatex2H2O, corresponding to 8.7 mg zinc
50mcg of selenium from sodium selenite pentahydrate
METHOD OF ADMINISTRATION
One tablet half an hour before bedtime possibly at the same time
ACTIVITY'
Melatonin induces a more restful sleep than that obtained with sleeping pills, reduces frequent awakenings at night and awakenings that are too early.
The intake of melatonin can be an interesting alternative to the use of sedatives, tranquilizers and sleeping pills because it acts on the basic cause of insomnia, correcting the imbalances of our natural biological clock and restoring our sleep / wake rhythm or the circadian rhythm.
Crossing time zones results in jet lag , a frequent nuisance among intercontinental travelers. The intake of melatonin is particularly suitable for businessmen who need to arrive at their destination fresh and with a clear mind than for tourists who cannot miss vacation days in the throes of a state of malaise. Once you have reached your destination, we recommend taking melatonin for 3-4 days, always at the same time before going to bed, and so on returning. The duration of the adaptation period is significantly reduced following oral intake of melatonin
In addition, Dr. Pierpaoli Zinc Selenium MELATONIN helps normalize all immunological, metabolic and endocrine functions.
INFORMATION CONCERNING THE COMPONENTS
MELATONIN
Melatonin is synthesized in the absence of light by the pineal gland or epiphysis. This gland is located at the base of the brain and produces melatonin shortly after the onset of darkness. The concentration in the blood increases rapidly and reaches a maximum between 2 and 4 am and then gradually decreases as the morning approaches. Exposure to light (especially at the blue wavelength between 460 and 480 nm) inhibits the production of melatonin in a dose-dependent manner.
Melatonin production progressively decreases with advancing age due to pineal calcification.
Already in 1977, Dr. Pierpaoli had guessed how the circadian biorhythm ( circa diem , that is, the duration of day and night) is the basis of health and life. Hence the importance of melatonin in the regulation of this biorhythm which, if altered, leads to problems not only related to the difficulty of having healthy sleep rhythms, but also to aging , stress , depression , cardiac and degenerative diseases.
Studies on the beneficial action of melatonin in these fields are numerous. Melatonin can help neutralize some of the most debilitating effects of stress on our health.
ZINC -Zn
There are numerous beneficial effects of zinc on our health.
Zinc is an essential component of over 200 enzymes and a fundamental mineral (trace element) of the oxidative processes that produce the energy of all cells and make them work at their best. Zinc levels steadily decline in senescence.
stimulates the immune system
plays an important role in growth and development (stimulating GH and testosterone)
makes the reproductive system (male and female) work properly
Zinc is contained in good quantities in meat (sheep, pork, beef), nuts , cocoa , oysters , egg yolks and mushrooms.
Zn deficiencies have been observed in the elderly, so it is recommended to supplement it in order to reinvigorate the immune system and prevent vision-related disorders (eg. PROVISION dr Pierpaoli )
SELENIUM-Se
S elenio is an essential trace element to counteract aging, also useful for the balance of thyroid function
The main biological functions of selenium are related to its role in defending cells from oxidative damage .
Se is essential for the enzymatic reaction responsible for the synthesis of glutathione , a powerful physiological molecule that constantly protects the body from oxidative damage, to take place.
It performs defensive and regulatory functions in our organism.
A deficiency of selenium will lead to a decrease in the detoxification capacity of the body and also to a depression of the immune defenses.
Modern agriculture and new eating habits have dramatically reduced daily selenium intake. Natural sources of selenium are fish, meat, offal, milk and derivatives, brewer's yeast, whole grains, nuts, mushrooms, fruits and vegetables
WARNINGS AND CONTRAINDICATIONS
It must not be administered without a specific medical prescription to healthy children, pregnant women and nursing mothers.
