How does the Alovex Active Protection anti-ulcers patch work?

Each Alovex patch is effective thanks to its formula based on aloe vera which forms a protective film that isolates canker sores and mouth lesions by acting locally. It also reduces pain and the risk of further irritation. The patch is bio-adhesive and self-dissolving and must only be applied to the oral mucosa.

How to prevent Aphthae and Aphthous Stomatitis?

For those who suffer for those who suffer from recurrent canker sores it is necessary to follow these advice from our pharmacists to perform a preventive action you must avoid:

• Foods such as chocolate, synthetic sweeteners, coffee, alcohol, vinegar, citrus fruits, pepper, chilli, spices, soups and drinks that are too hot which can lead to a manifestation of canker sores or at least increase pain;
• Small minor traumas such as chewing hard food or brushing your teeth incorrectly as it can promote the onset of canker sores;
• The use in one's oral hygiene of toothpastes with sodium lauryl sulfate (sls), an aggressive surfactant which, in the long run, could favor the onset of canker sores;
• The use of medicines, such as non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, beta-blockers and phenobarbital.

How to use

• With washed and dry fingers, open the package of the single patch;
• Separate the bio-adhesive patch from its support;
• Apply it exactly in correspondence of the ulcer or lesion.
• Repeat the operation 3/4 times a day or more as needed and do not eat or drink for at least 1 hour after application.

Warnings and Contraindications

The use of the product is contraindicated in patients with a known hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients. Do not use the product if the packaging is not intact and / or open. Keep at room temperature, do not expose directly to sunlight. The patch should only be applied to the oral mucosa and immediately after opening the single-use package. Harmless if ingested.
The patch contains menthol and it is therefore necessary to carefully avoid contact with the eyes and wash your hands immediately after touching or applying the patch.
