Acerola (Malpighia Glabra), is a tree native to Yucatan (Mexico) which today also grows in the Amazonian forests of Brazil. It is a shrub whose red fruits, similar to cherries, have a sour taste, with a thin skin, and are a natural source of vitamin C.

Acerola trees thrive in clayey and sandy soils, the use of pesticides and chemicals is excluded in cultivation.

To obtain the maximum concentration of vitamin C, the harvest is carried out when the fruits are still a little unripe, the pulp is pasteurized and dehydrated at controlled temperatures, obtaining a powder that preserves the Amazonian properties and quality of Acerola.
