Accu-Chek Aviva test strips are products useful for measuring blood glucose and for monitoring the values and progress of diabetes. Each strip is equipped with a calibration chip.
Accu-Chek Aviva test strips are indicated for diabetic subjects who want to know the glucose value in fresh whole blood with a daily self-check procedure that allows to recognize in time all the symptoms of an altered blood sugar, both in the case of hypoglycemia and hyperglycemia. The Accu-Chek Aviva test strips do not have the black chip that has been removed since March 2013, but can be found directly inside the meter used for the measurement, the glucometer. In this way we wanted to make the procedure easier.
You can use the test strips with the following Accu-Chek brand Aviva blood glucose meters:
The Accu-Chek Aviva Test Strip is robust and easy to handle. Each strip is equipped with a fairly large and safe suction area called Y-Easy Fill which is able to contain the minimum amount of blood sample (0.6 microliters). Using the Accu-Chek® Aviva test strips it is possible to perform the blood glucose test by taking blood both with the classic method and with the AST method , i.e. the sampling from alternative sites to the fingertip such as the forearm, the palm of the hand, the arm, calf or thigh.
Each strip contains the enzyme glucose dehydrogenase which allows the glucose that is present in the blood to be transformed into gluconolactone thanks to the oxidation-reduction reactions. Each reaction creates a kind of current flow which is then transformed by the sensor into a digital digital signal that appears on the display of the blood glucose meter used. This number accurately indicates how much glucose is present in the blood. The bottle containing the strips can be easily opened and closed thanks to the snap cap. This allows for better storage of the strips.
To measure your blood glucose correctly, it is necessary to perform the test steps accurately and meticulously.
In self-monitoring of blood glucose it is necessary to know when to measure blood glucose. Diabetic experts recommend performing a blood glucose analysis test 1 to 4 times a day and at different times of the day. In particular:
Regularly measuring blood glucose values with an analysis test is necessary so that the diabetic patient can keep their pathology under control and can detect in time if there are symptoms of low blood sugar (hypoglycemia) or high blood sugar (hyperglycemia) thus removing the possibility that he could go into a diabetic coma.
It is important to follow the guidelines below to use Accu-Chek Aviva test strips in the best possible way.
